Draw near to God, don't fear. Draw near to God, don't fear. Draw near to God, don't fear. Hello,

hello, hello. To Teens, Draw Near to God, Poetry Podcast. I am your host, Shirah Chante, relationship artist, helping God's people with relationships. Here to bless you with a poem today called Silver Sapphire or gold. So welcome teenagers, parents of teens, anyone who works with teenagers and who wants to see them reach their God given destiny.

This show is for you. Thank you so much for being here. I hope you had a good week. I appreciate you coming back. And if you're new to this show, get ready to. Talk about love today. The name of today's show is Healing broken hearts, healing broken hearts, or heal broken hearts, right? Yes. Healing broken hearts.

So I'm going to read the entire poem, silver, sapphire, or gold. It comes from my book. John does to view. Desire, love, hate, religion is the subtitle. You can find it on amazon. com in audio format, ebook, or print. So for you to divulge in these poems and they'll bless you like they blessed me when I was writing them.

These poems were my therapy when I was. bad place in my mind, in my soul. I was down and out in my life in college as a young, early 20 year old. And I just was very lost in a time of darkness and needed peace, needed. Solitude and needed even direction and poems, writing poetry opened up something, a portal within me to express all of the emotions, all of the sadness, all of the joy of being a young person in my college days, not really knowing.

What I wanted to do, or who I wanted to be. These poems, and Jaundiced View, Book of Poetry, by Shira Shante, really helped me. They helped me. They helped guide me, in a way, to a point of fruition of what I was truly looking for and what I truly wanted in life, which was God. And so I pray today that you're able to reach, to tap into your own emotions and that perhaps these emotions will deep down will, will surface.

And perhaps just like you, you will want, just like me, you will want to reach God. This show is called Teens Draw Near to God. Well, what does that mean? We're getting closer to the heavenly father, father, God. He's our father. There's no excuse. You have a father. Everyone has a father who wants a father. His name is father God.

So there's. No more fatherless, there's really two fathers. Jesus said that those who love him and come to him have a father, father God, and those who don't, they have another father. He is the father of lies. He is the devil and Satan himself some people have Satan as a father, but that's not you No, no, no, and that's not me No, we follow the heavenly And we are drawing near to him.

We're getting closer to him and we are loving him just as he loved us for God. So love the world. That's father. God, he gave his only begotten son. That's Jesus Christ who believes whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. How does that sound? Do you want everlasting life? I know I do.

I've already signed up. I've signed up, baby. I'm on the list for everlasting life. Amen. So I will never die. Jesus said if you believe in me, you will live and never die. That's what Jesus says. If he says you will never die, you will never die. Now there is this earthly body we live in. This body may be laid down into the ground, but our soul, our spirit lives forever.

And Jesus said to well, who was it, John? Or they were, his disciples were asking because Jesus said, there are some here. Who will never see death. There are some here who even this old body, you might leave this world before even this whole, this old body we're in is cast down into the ground is six feet deep.

There are some who will get out totally alive, even in the physical realm. Yes, that happened before that happened with the prophet Elijah. He went up into the sky like a whirlwind. Woo. He just went on up to God. He just went on up. To Jesus. Yes, that was a special walk right there. So we will live and never die if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Hallelujah. That's good. Good. Good. Good news. Praise the Lord. Mm. So let's get into our poem. Silver Sapphire or Gold. I'm gonna read the entire poem and then we're gonna go back line by line to see how this poem can help us draw near to God. And here's the poem. Silver sapphire or gold is true love, silver sapphire, or gold.

Is true love accepting failures of the aspired? How do I know if my true love is near? Ranker through many prospects. Hoping to find the love of my dreams. Is there such a being? Please guide me to unending luminance of love. I feel hope to find, but succumb to despair. Why does love constitute many broken hearts in order to arrive at the true love destined for and thought?

Why not settle for various positive characteristics instead of casting this love away? What can I say? There is an undying hope deep within my chest. I am hoping for the best. Is this quest unfathomable? Am I blind to undying faith? Surely faithful belief shall bring me peace. If not, I shall succumb to pain of desire of an undying love fueling my ravenous fire.

Sure,

he is out there, waiting to pour out his unending love for me. Occurrence proved love's lower degree. My feelings were those of gratitude and ultimate despair. Another love story ends in flares, unbridled pain and dying. Dreams. Love eternal exhilarates his themes. Farewell, love of mine. I'm hoping to find unconditional love divine.

What a faithful soul so sent for me. For this very goal is undying. Seize. Should I settle for silver or sapphire or gold? That is the story told, so promising and bold. Why do I doubt the existence of the sea? Is it not I in complete destiny? I'm looking for eternal love to share, making love aware, stable, and fair.

Brisk air takes me there for my eternal love to share. And that is the poem, Silver, Sapphire, or Gold. So let's just go back and examine these words, shall we? So last week we talked about accepting the faults of our loved one. We talked about how do we know if our true love is here? So, let's start where we left off.

Please guide me to unending luminance of love. Ah, unending luminance of love, Shira Chante. What is that? It sounds like a lot of white. I just see a love and bright, bright, bright lights. It's coming for me, coming for you. That love is Christ the Lord. I feel hope to find, but succumb to despair. Why does love constitute many broken hearts?

So this girl here, She wants love. She's looking for love and she's hopeful for love, but then it doesn't happen when it doesn't happen now, she's heartbroken. Now he's heartbroken. They. She thought she had someone she was with, she was dating, a boyfriend, a girlfriend. Come on teenagers, have you ever had a boyfriend or a girlfriend?

I know when I was a teenager I had a boyfriend, yes, I did. Why does love constitute many broken hearts? In order to arrive at the true love destined for in thought. Why? Why do we have to have so many broken hearts in order to find a true love? Is that the formula after so many broken hearts? Broken heart 1 plus broken heart 2 Plus broken heart 3 equals true love.

Is that how it works? Do we have to be broken hearted? Is that a prerequisite to love?

Well, why not settle for various positive characteristics instead of casting this love away?

Some of you have had many broken hearts already as a teenager because of dating, you like this person, he doesn't like you. You like this person, she doesn't like you, you actually dated this person.

Unfortunately, you have had sex with this person or been with this person. It's such a, it's a time when yes, your emotions, your feelings are for the opposite sex for falling in love. It's natural to have feelings. However, dating many broken hearts, I don't believe that's the will of God. I don't believe you have to have broken hearts before you find your true love.

And I talked about that last show where there's a way, there's a true formula. And we Looked at that and the Bible. How about prayer asking God who your mate is? Getting your heavenly father's input. He knows And another thing is that this age is yes, there are going to be some who want to date, but some of you don't.

Some of you are like, I'm good. I think that's better. Yeah, because you're still so young. You still have so much to accomplish in life. It's not really necessary. For you to date anyone, that doesn't mean you might not be interested or you might not think, you might think someone is cute or they're smart or they're intelligent, or they're rich.

It's true love, silver, sapphire, or gold. You might see these various positive characteristics. Why not settle for these various positive characteristics instead of casting this love away? What can I say? There is an undying hope deep within my chest. I'm hoping for the best. So you don't have to rush into a relationship.

If it's not the one, it's just not just because someone has money doesn't. automatically qualify them. There has to be something in your soul, in your heart that is meant for this person that has a love that is given to you for this person by God. And God gives that person a love for you in reciprocal so that.

You're not in love alone, but you both love each other. Yes, you both love each other. And that is a love where you don't have to be brokenhearted, where you don't have to be crying, who wants to be like that pitiful and sad for no reason, this is something that you brought upon yourself. Because you rushed into the dating world. Instead of just taking your time, focus on your studies. Focus on your life and becoming who you are. Focus on your purpose or developing one. Focus on your self identity.

That's much easier, much better, and you'll have a lot less trouble in your younger years if you don't focus on dating. I'm telling you, I've been there, done that. So I want to just pray for you, for those of you who have entered dating world and your heart's been broken, someone didn't like you, you didn't like someone, whatever the case may be, some of you have been Abused by family members, touching you, not good, not good.

Those naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty family members, naughty, naughty moms and dads. That happens, that people take advantage of children for their own sexual gain.

It's quite sick. It's a sick society. sometimes. And if you were a part of that, If someone took advantage of you, touched you, molested you, raped you in your younger years, as a child, as a teenager, God forbid, but if that is you, I understand. I went through those very things as a child, as a teenager, as a preteen, and it can be quite damaging to your life, to your psyche, to your mind.

But God is here to heal your broken heart. Healing broken hearts, that's what we're doing today. God is here with a salve, a salve, S A L V E. And he has a salve, and he's going to just rub it on your heart. Just take your hand and just rub that salve on your heart right now. And just in the spirit, just rub it, just take that salve.

Come on, rub your heart right now. Just rub it. Oh, thank you, Jesus. Thank you for healing those right now who are rubbing that salve of healing on their heart, Lord God. Forgive them for getting into relationships that are not from you and help them to focus on their own self identity before. Entering into a romantic relationship in Jesus name.

I pray.

All right. So that is our show for today. I hope you are healed. Keep rubbing that salve on you as much as you need. There's. an unlimited amount of healing that God has for you and your heart. And you know what? Don't let anyone break it again. Not by being hard hearted. No, not by becoming gay or lesbian because, oh, now you hate men or women because you were hurt.

No, we're not going to do that. No, you're just going to protect yourself, protect your heart, guard your heart. From those evil people, from wolves, who would try to hurt you. Just take your time. Get to know someone. And whenever you get a red flag, just leave. You don't have time for that.

Just go. And in time Even if that person was for you or is for you, they will have to mature. You will have protected yourself from bad occurrences and for, from other many broken hearts that this person has experienced in this poem. That won't be you.

All right. Next time, Silver, Sapphire, or Gold will continue the saga of love. And remember to love God, love you, and love people.
