Draw near to God, don't fear. Draw near to God, don't fear. Draw near to God, don't fear.

Hello, teenagers, parents of teens, and anyone who wants to see teens reach their God given destiny. Welcome to Teens Draw Near to God Poetry Podcast. I am your host, Shira Shanti. Relationship artist, helping God's people with relationships. And I'm here to bless you with some poetry today.

Coming straight from my book, right out of John Deust view, desire, love, hate, religion, you can find this book on amazon. com and all formats. I even have an audio book out there that I recorded myself. So if you are into poetry and you need something to help you evaluate some emotions in your life, this is an excellent book to do that with.

It really allowed me to just put some organization to some of the thoughts and ideas and feelings that I had. At that time, I was a college student in New Orleans, Louisiana, and I just had a lot going on. It was a very tough season of my life. Some tragic things that occurred with me and I needed an outlet and I started writing poetry.

It just came to me. Like it was just a gift that the Lord gave me. I read poetry as a little girl. When I was younger I read a lot of poetry, but I never really actually picked up a pen and started writing it until I got into college. And so It's just a good outlet to organize emotions and thoughts in your head.

Today, we are looking at a new poem called Silver, Sapphire, and Gold. Silver, Sapphire, and Gold. It's a long poem, so I'm going to read it. It's a, make sure you're listening to the words. They're fun. It's a long poem, but it's a very fun poem. And it asks some really, really, really good questions about love.

Really? Shira, Shantae, we're going to learn about love? Well, I hope so. I know I want to learn about love. I mean, isn't that why we're here? Draw dear to God. Did you know what a Bible says? God is love. Yes. It says God is love and he is. He is love. He is agape love, the unconditional love that he gives to each and every man and woman, human being on this.

Earth. So, are you ready?

Here we go. Put your seatbelts on. This might be a long one. Okay, here we go. Silver, sapphire, or gold? Is true love silver, sapphire, or gold? Is true love accepting failures of the expired? How do I know if my true love is near? Rancor through many prospects? Hoping to find the love of my dreams. Is there such a being?

Please guide me to unending luminance of love. I feel hope to find, but succumb to despair. Why does love constitute many broken hearts? In order to arrive at the true love destined for in thought, why not settle for various positive characteristics instead of casting this love away, what can I say? There is an undying hope deep within my chest.

I am hoping for the best. Is this quest unfathomable? Am I blind to undying faith? Surely faithful belief shall bring me peace. If not, I shall succumb in pain of desire of an undying love fueling my ravenous fire. Sure, he is out there. Waiting to pour out his unending love for me, occurrence proved love's lower degree.

My feelings were those of gratitude and ultimate despair. Another love story ends in flares. Unbridled pain and dying dreams, Love Eternal exhilarates. His themes. Farewell, love of mine. I'm hoping to find unconditional love divine. With a faithful soul so sent for me. For this very goal is undying seas.

Should I settle for silver or sapphire or gold? That's the story told, so promising and bold. Why do I doubt the existence of the sea? Is it not I in complete destiny? I'm looking for eternal love to share, Making love aware, stable, and fair. Brisk air takes me there. For my eternal love to share. And that is the poem, silver, sapphire, or gold.

All right, let's go back to the beginning. See, I told you it was kind of lengthy, but it's a really beautiful point. It's true love, silver, sapphire, or gold. Well, this is a question about money, love and money. And is love money? Does money have, what does money have to do with love? What's your stance on love and money?

What is true love, silver, sapphire, or gold? Is it, is it let's see, I'm looking for the man or the person with the most money. Or maybe I'm looking for someone who doesn't have a lot of money. Is that, I mean, I guess it could be a personal opinion or a personal desire. If someone I've heard many women say that they want someone who has money.

And of course, you know, you want someone to be able to take care of you. It's a very, it's it's just like natural to want that. You want to feel protected. Does this person have. The funds, does he have the finances to take care of a family? Do I have the finances to take care of a family?

It's true. Love, silver, Sapphire, gold. Love is not money. We've already established at the beginning of the show. What love is, God is love and God is definitely, he's way higher than money, but money plays a part in our society. Money plays a part in our world. We spend money a lot. We're definitely consumers.

We're a consuming society, especially here in America. So I can understand how money could be at the top of someone's list. If they were going to make a love list. I talk about making a love list of some things, it's like a brainstorm of what would you desire in a mate? And I could see how that could be on the list.

Is true love accepting failures of aspired? What does that mean, Shira? Is true love accepting failures of aspired? It sounds like to me that this person who's asking this question, she is asking, is it okay for him to have faults, failures of aspired? That's what she's aspiring. What she's, is it okay that, that they watch pornography?

Wow. That's a, that's a tough one. Yeah. Pornography is. Rampant in society these days, and it's very damaging and I'm totally not with, I do not agree with watching pornography, and if that is an issue with someone you're dating or even parents out there or coaches, people who deal with teenagers and you're in a relationship with someone who is into pornography, I would definitely pray for him or her to get delivered because it's just, it's not a healthy practice.

It's definitely, definitely not. God would want you to do. It's not something that would get you closer to God. Pornography is something that would take you away from God. And so just think about it. Why would God? Want anyone to see nude or naked pictures of other people or engaging in, in sexual acts.

It's just not natural. I mean, that's something, sex is something that God made for marriage. According to the Bible that sex is, it's the communion or consummation of a marriage. It's something that should be enjoyed. In a marital union, in a union that God has joined together. And so it depends on what the fault is or the failure is.

I definitely if I. knew, and this is what if I knew someone was into pornography, I would definitely, that would be definitely a red flag. Like, I don't know if I want to date this one. No, I'm not saying someone can't be helped. Of course, a lot of people have been delivered from pornography and there's programs that deliver people or help people get delivered from watching pornography because it's a very deep.

addiction. It's like, you know, snorting cocaine or doing some other kind of drug. People really get addicted to  porn. I have there's a training I watch on pornography and what it does to the brain. It does some really horrible things to your brain. If you think heroin or LSD does things to your brain cells.

You should research what pornography does to the brain. It's not pretty. And I, it was just so eye opening to me when I looked at this training. It's an audio training. In fact, I can recommend this training to you. You should definitely watch it or I it's Oh, if I can figure if I can remember the name let's see what I'll do is.

I'll put it into the show notes. I'll put a link to the training and a show notes so that if you're interested in learning about pornography and the dangers of it. I'll, I will put that into the show notes. I want to say it's called the brain and no, it has something, I think brain is in the title.

I used to watch it every year I would watch it with my son because I wanted him to understand the dangers of pornography. It's just, it's a good resource for parents out there who are watching to. It's a ministry. It's done by a ministry that I love called No Greater Joy.

And it's the teacher is Mike Pearl. He's an excellent teacher for youth. And I highly recommend watching this training. Once again, I'll put it into the show notes. So it's true love accepting failures of aspired.

If. You love someone. You want to help them. You want to help them out with their faults, to get over their faults, get over their shortcomings. And we all have them. No, no one's perfect. So I would say definitely, if There was a love in your life that was true. You would want to take the effort to help them.

I mean, why not? You know, if you love them, you want to help them. You want to see them do better. And so I would definitely say yes. If that's your true love, accepting failures. His failures, accepting her failures would be ideal.

Oh, especially if you want to make the relationship last. How do I know if a true love is near? How do I know? This is such a loaded question. Oh my God. How do I know? These are questions I was thinking about as a young adult. How do I know Lord, Lord, how do I know? How do I know if he really loves me?

Okay. Whitney Houston. I love Whitney. How do I know if my true love is near? Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. That's such a good question. I wish I had like the magic answer for you, but I don't.

The next line says rancor through many prospects. So I'm talking about dating here, rancor through many prospects. Well, let's go out with this one and let's go out with that one. And that, you know, that could be a process that's like our modern day process to find a person we love dating, right.

Isn't, is that what we do in our society? Yeah. There's all kinds of dating apps, date. Oh my God, so that's pretty much what we do to find love date to let's go out with this one. It's like trial and error. It's almost kind of like any mini mighty Moe to me, but but God can work through dating and I believe can lead someone to their mate through dating.

There's some kind of way you have to get to know the person. And it's in, in American society anyway, we don't have a society where usually the parents pick your spouse. Usually the person picks their own spouse picks who they want to marry their wife or their husband. And so dating is the option that's the most kin to figuring out who your true love is.

I would like to share a story in the Bible, and I think this is a better option, but it requires some patience and it requires some just some waiting and trusting in God. And this is probably one of my favorite stories in the Bible. It's A couple named Isaac and Rebecca, and Isaac was the son of Abraham in the Bible.

Abraham who had great faith who in the book of Hebrews says he's the father of faith. God gave him a promise to inherit the land of Israel that Abraham, he had a son named Isaac and Isaac's mother died. She passed her name was Sarah. And so Isaac needed some comforting. He was older now. It's mom was gone.

And so Abraham wanted to find a wife for his son, Isaac. Now, see, this is a different society. I, and this. In this scenario, in this story, in the Bible, the father is the one who decided to search for a mate for his son. I don't know if that happens much nowadays. Does the father look for a mate for the children, for his son, his daughter?

So what happened is Abraham had a servant and the servant went to abraham's country, his old country to find a servant from someone in his family. To find his son, a wife, someone, a relative, they wanted a relative, someone in the family, because back then it was, it was, he wanted to be with someone godly, that's what I'm thinking, or someone who was like him.

And so he. Took his servant and loaded him up with goods and whatnot on a venture to find a wife for Rebecca. And so the servant prayed, I can't go through the entire story, but I'll just make it quick. The servant prayed for Isaac that whoever the woman was or is that he should marry. That's for Isaac.

Isaac's true love would would be a manifest and in a certain way. And so that's exactly what happened with the, what the servant prayed for this woman. To be recognizable to him. It happened. God made it happen. And so this is a way that someone can find a true love. I believe this is an example.

It's a biblical, biblically based example of finding true love through prayer, through the father's. Participation, perhaps, if that's possible. I know everyone doesn't have that kind of family dynamic, but what about your heavenly father, God? Everybody can ask God. God, will you please help me find my true love?

I think life would be much easier if you found your true love than if you just got with any old person. It's definitely something that you want to take your time with. This is your life partner, someone that you're going to be with your true love that you should be with forever, that you should be with in this to, to live out this life.

That's a very big, big decision and it shouldn't be taken lightly. And you definitely need the heavenly father to help you find your true love. So I pray for everyone listening today, Lord God, teenagers, parents of teens, and anyone who works with teenagers who's here, anyone watching this podcast who may have stumbled upon this podcast just by the grace of God.

That. You would give them a heart to come to you, to seek you, father God, to find their true love. If they're looking for a mate, if they're looking to start dating that you would be the one that they come to, the one that they seek out. To help them find their true love in the name of Jesus. I pray and God will do that.

He's faithful. Just like he helped Isaac find Rebecca through prayer and the father's intervention, he will help you. He's our heavenly father. So if you're young teenagers, this is definitely something you want to keep on the radar. You may not be at that point where you're. Looking, especially if you're a younger teen for, for true love at this time, but maybe, I don't know.

It could be something that's ongoing and that culminate into something when you got older. But. Prayer to the Heavenly Father is definitely, I would say, the number one way to find your true love. It has something to do with that, but there's all kinds of miraculous love stories. There's so many different ways people have met.

The one they love. And I adjure you maybe to look into some of those stories, ask people in your family, how they met. It's always fun to hear a love story. I love it. I love hearing how different people came together and you can see how God works in people's lives because love is important, especially meet someone who's going to be by your side.

That's. It's extremely important to make a break a person. If you get with the wrong person, it could really be damaging to your life. And so you want to make sure you're with the right person, your true love. All right. So that's my take on true love, but we will be back with silver, sapphire, gold. We're just at the beginning here.

The next time on Jaundiced View. Remember, I will put that link to the program that I watched about pornography in the show notes. So as you can click on it and you can, I would 100 percent recommend you watch it, purchase it and watch it. Okay. Remember to love God, love you and love people.
